Recruitment Adviser 

There has never been a more exciting time to join Bonds – we have over 100 stores (and counting) and we need an awesome Recruiter to come on-board and support our continued growth.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager you will manage a state-based portfolio and play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional end to end recruitment service for our Australian and New Zealand store network. Juggling between 40-60 open roles at any one time, this is a fast-paced and very busy end-to-end recruitment role: you will not be twiddling your thumbs, that we can guarantee!

You will be working with Retail Line and Operational Managers to fill store vacancies up to Senior Area Manager level, and you play a key role in mentoring and coaching hiring managers on recruitment process, interview skills and techniques: this will require you to facilitate regular training sessions when required.

Day in the life of a Recruitment Adviser …

Expect to be involved in:

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process through assisting with creating and posting exciting job advertisements, screening candidates, conducting phone and some face to face interviews, and managing the pre-employment checking process
  • Facilitating recruitment training sessions for hiring managers when required
  • Managing & maintaining our internal candidate tracking system and ensuring all information is relevant and up to date: candidate experience is super important to us and your role is crucial in keeping all candidates up to date with their application and progress in the recruitment process
  • Adhering to Recruitment KPIs: you will become familiar with metrics such as Time to Fill, Quality of Hire and Source of Hire: the Recruitment Team take ownership of how we are tracking and focus on minimising the time and cost to recruit whilst ensuring we source strong talent into the business
  • Facilitating Group Interviews - we run GIs for high volume recruitment campaigns such as Christmas Casual recruitment: we will provide training so you will soon be running the sessions yourself! GIs are held locally and interstate so you must be able to travel when required

What experience do I have?

  • Agency or In-House Recruitment experience: you must come with at least 1-2 years' experience working in a busy recruitment environment.  
  • Passion and enthusiasm for recruitment – we want to talk to you if you LOVE recruitment and want to build a career in talent acquisition and management
  • Energy, drive and tenacity: you will be operating in a high volume retail recruitment environment which gets super busy and can sometimes feel chaotic (we recruited over 350 Christmas Casuals in 6 weeks last year so this should give you some appreciation for the volume!)
  • Experience in the world of retail would be hugely beneficial – knowing how retail works and some of the challenges Store Managers face will absolutely set you up for success in this role
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities and superb organisational skills
  • You are a natural communicator who enjoys building relationships, can talk to anyone and isn't shy of getting up and presenting in-front of groups
  • Getting up to speed with multiple systems and computer packages such as Excel, PowerPoint and CRMs doesn't faze you
  • Relevant ie. HR or Business related degree will be advantageous
